The specific goal of this report is to make a contribution to the discussion on successful and effective AVR(R) policies and programmes for Iraqi nationals. The research underlying this report does so through the comparison of different existing AVR(R) policies and programmes, those apply at Iraqi nationals or open to all. In addition, the results of this analysis may be of use to the discussion of the possibilities for a common European approach towards AVR(R) – for Iraqi nationals or other nationals – or steps that may be taken in this particular direction.
