The recently released IOM's Return Counselling Toolkit, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, is an agile learning tool structured around five complementary and interconnected modules and accompanied by operational tools and an in-person training curriculum.

During this event, stakeholders, partners and IOM showed how the concept of return counselling has evolved and why it is an essential component of the return and reintegration process to protect and support migrant's agency in the context of return. Practices and lessons from its implementation were also shared with the webinar's participants.

The Toolkit builds upon IOM standards and its longstanding experience in providing return and reintegration counselling to thousands of migrants every year, in a multiplicity of countries and operational contexts.

The content of the Toolkit has been further complemented by an additional (to be released soon) Module on Counselling Children and their Families developed in cooperation with UNICEF and Save the Children.

The webinar took place on Zoom and was moderated by the KMH. At the end of the event, there was a dedicated Q&A session which allowed meaningful exchanges with participants.
