Counter Trafficking Data Collaborative (CTDC): Introducing the Improved Portal

Counter Trafficking Data Collaborative

IOM is pleased to announce the relaunch of the Counter-Trafficking Data Collaborative (CTDC) website, featuring a new, user-friendly interface designed to enhance accessibility and navigation.

  Counter-Trafficking Data Collaborative (CTDC)

Since its inception in November 2017, CTDC has been at the forefront of providing accessible and standardized case data on human trafficking. Our mission is to eliminate barriers to information sharing and to offer reliable data to those committed to combatting trafficking and exploitation.

The redesigned CTDC website introduces an innovative interface, shaped by extensive stakeholder feedback, with a focus on:

  • Enhanced Accessibility: Seamlessly access and explore data tailored to various users.
  • Mobile Optimization: Access essential information anytime, anywhere.
  • Streamlined Navigation: Easily find the information you need.
  • Interactive Dashboards: Engage with data through dynamic visuals and interactive features.
  • Multilingual Support: Now available in Arabic, English, French, German, and Spanish.

The CTDC redesign aims to provide human trafficking data at your fingertips. Users can explore the Global Synthetic Dataset updated in February 2024, featuring information from over 206,000 trafficked persons from 190 countries and territories. Additionally, CTDC’s new data dashboards offer concise, interactive insights into human trafficking trends and patterns, and the data stories transform data into compelling narratives and easily accessible information.

CTDC recognizes the challenge of balancing data accessibility and utility with privacy. Therefore, the website leverages cutting-edge technology to offer the world’s largest publicly available synthetic datasets on human trafficking while safeguarding the privacy of trafficked individuals. In collaboration with Microsoft Research, CTDC has integrated differential privacy techniques to protect the identities of victims. This approach enables us to share valuable data and support impactful research while maintaining the highest privacy standards.

We invite you to explore the redesigned CTDC platform and discover how data can contribute to driving change in the fight against human trafficking.
