IOM conducted an assessment in 2022 across ten communities in Isabel Province, Solomon Islands, to identify gaps and challenges in accessing SafeNet services for survivors of gender-based violence (GBV). The evaluation aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the barriers faced by survivors in obtaining essential support services, including medical care, counseling, law enforcement support, legal assistance, and protective services such as shelters or safehouses.

This report includes the recommendations made by participants to improve service accessibility and effectiveness, and is essential to understand the critical gaps and challenges in the referral and access to SafeNet services for GBV survivors in Isabel Province. Addressing these barriers is essential for ensuring that survivors receive the necessary support and protection. This report calls for concerted efforts from government, service providers, and development partners to implement the recommendations and improve the overall response to GBV in the region.
