Access to Justice for Migrant Workers and Victims of Trafficking for Labour Exploitation

Designed as a practical guide, this document aims to address the needs of migrant workers and victims of labor trafficking within the European Union, as well as in Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. It serves to equip national authorities—specifically labor, immigration, prosecution, and counter-trafficking agencies—alongside civil society organizations and trade unions, with effective tools to support and empower affected individuals.
This toolkit builds on the insights gained from two international exchanges focused on access to justice for migrant workers and victims of trafficking for labor exploitation, complemented by internal consultations, IOM best practices, and additional research. It brings together the collective expertise of various stakeholders from across Europe, including law enforcement, prosecutors, labor inspectors, trade unions, international organizations, and civil society representatives.
