The Migrant Protection Platform, in collaboration with the UN’s Migration Network Hub, was pleased to present the webinar titled “Combating Child Trafficking: Lessons from Innovative Practices.” The event took place on Tuesday, 17 December 2024, at 3 PM CET, and aimed to enhance knowledge sharing and collaboration on the topic.

A Timely Discussion on Child Protection

This webinar, aligned with the 2024 World Day Against Trafficking in Persons theme “Leave No Child Behind In the Fight Against Human Trafficking” followed the joint Call for Practices launched earlier in 2024 in partnership with the UN's Migration Network Hub. 

Spotlight on Best Practices

The webinar featured representatives from leading organizations who presented their submitted impactful initiatives to protect children and combat trafficking:

  • Federal Public Defenders' Office of Brazil (DPU)
  • Association "Hors la Rue" (France)
  • UNICEF Serbia
  • IOM Regional Office for Middle East and North Africa (MENA)

The speakers shared their practices, insights, and lessons learned, fostering a lively exchange of ideas among policymakers, practitioners, and advocates.
